With an increasing number of individuals seeking effective ways to recover from injuries and enhance their training regimes without the risk of further physical stress, Boost Treadmills recognized an opportunity to cater to athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and rehabilitation centers looking for advanced solutions that could offer both high performance and safety.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was ensuring that the software could seamlessly interface with the complexity of the technology. These components require exact control and synchronization to function effectively and safely. Moreover, the software had to accommodate a wide range of functionalities. It also needed to be robust enough to handle real-time data processing and adjustments while maintaining reliability and durability over prolonged use in diverse environments, from high-end fitness centers to home gyms. Lastly, developing a user interface that could be easily navigated by users of all technical skill levels without compromising the depth of control that professional users demanded added another level of complexity.

The Solution

To address the complex integration and multifaceted challenges, we engineered a highly adaptable software platform. The treadmill UI allows users to easily navigate through complex features without overwhelming them. This includes intuitive controls for adjusting treadmill settings and real-time feedback on workout progress, allowing users of varying technical expertise to operate the treadmill with ease while still providing in-depth control features demanded by professional athletes. Furthermore, 21Solutions developed a comprehensive website that serves as a data hub for all treadmill-related information. This platform enables coaches and athletes to create and manage custom workout programs tailored to specific training needs and recovery phases. It also allows for monitoring treadmill performance and viewing detailed error logs, which are crucial for maintaining equipment reliability and enhancing user safety.

Technologies Used

To engineer the Boost Treadmill platforms, we utilized a sophisticated stack of contemporary technologies. The frontend experience was built using Angular, which provides a dynamic and responsive interface that is easy for users of all skill levels to navigate. For backend operations, we chose NestJS—a highly efficient and scalable framework ideal for managing the complex logic and real-time data processing required by Boost’s advanced features. Data handling and storage are powered by MongoDB, selected for its flexibility in managing diverse data structures critical for personalized workout programs and system diagnostics. Additionally, the integration of NeutralinoJS allowed for lightweight, cross-platform desktop applications, enhancing the interface's accessibility without compromising performance.
